Champagne Gifts Curated by Ambrose

In my experience, customers who are gifting Champagne generally break into two groups. Most customers want a recognizable Champagne name so that the recipient will know the wine's quality AND that the gift-giver spent some money. Other folks are interested in learning about grower champagne or of the mindset of "I only buy and drink grower." If you know your special someone loves discovery then a grower Champagne is the way to go. For my selections, I took into consideration whether the Champagne comes in a gift box or a large format bottle. Almost all of those I selected do come with a gift box. Hope this helps!

Red Wine Gifts Curated by Chris

I based my picks on an array of fun, interesting and serious wines in a variety price points. Some are unique and difficult to get, others are a fantastic value for their level of quality. For example the Perrot Minot below is $135, yet is grown 1-2 rows north of Clos de Tarte, which produces wines that routinely sell for $700 or more a bottle. I feel any of these wines will make even the most picky wine-lover happy. I also added in some great wines with big brand names, because, well, you know...

White Wine Gifts Curated by Lisa

For my recommendations, I chose what I feel are the most special white wines in the store, regardless of price. Some are more esoteric while others are crowd-pleasers.  All are beautifully crafted and often small production wines that our customers love. I know that whoever the lucky recipient is of any of these wines, he/she will be pleased.

Spirits Gifts Curated by Harry & Morgan

There are so many options out there to choose from when it comes to selecting a spirit as a gift.  It can be difficult to find that perfect fit. This fact drove my picks this year.  Morgan and I have tagged some of our favorites that are amazing examples of elixirs sure to satisfy a curious newbie or even the most perceptible imbiber. Próst!

Dessert, Aperitif & Digestif Gifts Curated by Tim

I focused on libations that are both special and versatile. My recommendations span a variety of price ranges and there are some fantastic values sprinkled in.  For example, I selected at 2007 port for $52, which is well-crafted, deliciously aged and will impress any wine or spirit enthusiast.  I hope you enjoy perusing my recommendations.

One-of-a-Kind Gifts Curated by Christie

For that truly unique gift for the wine or spirit lover in your life, we have some great options.  For the Entertainer or Discovery-Seeker, you can gift a customized, in-home or virtual wine tasting with our Traveling Sommeliers.  For the Wine Aficionado or Collector in your life, Ambrose and Chris have released a few wines from their Allocated Cellar Selections for the holiday season. These single bottle offerings are highly allocated and very difficult to access. Your special wine-lover will be thrilled. We do you require you to call the store to purchase, as handling these wines requires a few extra steps. For the Food and Wine Lover in your life, consider giving one of the new cookbooks that have been released this fall with a complementary bottle of wine. We have paired some of the most popular books with the perfect wine in our Fall Cookbooks & Wine Pairing section. And of course, the Park Place Wines Gift Card makes for an easy yet thoughtful gift.  We have also listed three rare bottles below for that special gift. Of course, you can call or visit the store for personalized service. We love to recommend wines & spirits to meet your needs, and wrap them up beautifully.

The Coolest Wines by Morgan

I love to discover new wines and spirits and bring them home to taste with my family. We have been testing a lot of orange and natural wines, seeing what the trend is about and falling for some of them. The three wines below are our favorite (and I think some of the coolest) wines in the store.
